BioEnergie Verbund e.V.
BioEnergie Verbund e.V. supports and promotes the development and market introduction of environmentally friendly and sustainable technologies.
The focus is on the research, dissemination and use of modern, environmentally friendly processes in the fields of biohydrogen, biomass utilization and regenerative energy technology.
In the years from 2011 to 2019, the association also coordinated various projects in the field of business-related research & experimental development.
Our innovation cluster “BioH2BK – BioHydrogen + Bioconversion Central Germany” – funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) – will become a platform for all stakeholders from industry and science to make strategic decisions for a sustainable biohydrogen economy for Central Germany from mid-2020.
Consulting on research issues is a central task of the association, which is always implemented under expert management. In doing so, the association can rely on qualified experts from its own ranks.
Mission Statement
Based on the current state of the art, we implement innovations in existing structures and develop them further in the process. Our thematic focus areas include biomass utilization with the use of biobased raw materials from private applications to biohydrogen factories. In addition, we dedicate ourselves to the field of sustainable, modular construction as well as the repowering of biogas plants. Finally, we develop methods to increase the energy efficiency of existing wastewater treatment plants so that they can be operated as energy self-sufficiently as possible. We also aim to promote environmental awareness through research and teaching in the individual sector.

In 2018, industrial research & experimental development was added to the association’s statutes as a further business field. Since then, BioEnergie Verbund e.V. has already coordinated various research projects. The central goal is to bring research results to commercialization.
