The Hydrogen Strategy 2020 has set the course for implementing hydrogen technologies in Germany to enable the decarbonization of industry and to realize new mobility concepts.
Biogenic waste materials such as biowaste and municipal grass and green waste represent an important resource here, because biohydrogen can also be produced by fermentation, similar to biogas in a biogas plant.
In collaboration with our partners, we have now optimized this process in a special procedure to such an extent that this form of hydrogen formation can be effectively used on an industrial scale. The task now is to implement this technology at an initial site as a lighthouse project so that it can become a further building block of the hydrogen economy of the future in Germany as an industrial location.
